REPUDIATING " A CHRISTMAS CAROL"
As the regular reader (Stephanie, go home, the kids miss you) of this reluctant blog will know, I detest blogging, tweeting and anything self obsessive. So, we'll stick with what I have found to be good and bad in the period between the last update and now...
GOOD NEW PART ONE
The new Death Cab For Cutie ep, "Keys And Codes" is smart bit of kit, sheening and
smoothing out all of the nasty, clicky and dreadfully post modern horrors that infest
dance music. I love the combination of hormonal urgency, technical excellence,
intelligence and the fusion of melancholy yaw with techno-danceable beats.
GOOD NEWS PART TWO
We're already getting invitations to the festivals being staged in 2012 and the
kind of festivals that we (bafflingly) get invited to are mainly tagged as
'Family Friendly'. I know, I know, the only reason you'd throw cash into
mud is to get away from precocious children, so why are the little
fucks allowed into festivals? We will be going to some
festivals and we'll be the growlers under the banner that
reads 'Please Remove Your Child Before We Fuck It,
Or Eat It'. You can have a banner like that made by
someone called The Flagman.
